Adrian Appiolaza Menjadi Creative Director Baru Moschino!

Moschino, the iconic italian luxury fashion house terkenal dengan desainnya yang bold dan playful. Moschino terlahir pada 1983 di Milan oleh Franco Moschino. Setelah 41 tahun, Moschino memperkenalkan creative director terbarunya, yaitu Adrian Appiolaza.

Adrian Appiolaza sebagai creative director terbaru dari Moschino, memiliki segudang pengalaman di dunia fashion. Sebelumnya, ia telah memiliki pengalaman peran yang sama di Chloé with Clare Waight Keller. Selain itu, ia juga pernah menjadi Women’s Ready-to-Wear Design Director di Loewe, bersama J.W. Anderson. 

Lahir pada 1972 dan dibesarkan di Buenos Aires, Adrian Appiolaza tidak pernah berpergian sebelum umurnya yang ke-21. Menurutnya, dengan menjadi creative director di Moschino adalah pencapaian yang luar biasa. Dengan perjalanan karirnya yang tidak lurus saja, ia sangat bersyukur kepada Massimo Ferretti yang telah memberikan kesempatan kepadanya. Kesempatan ini menjadi tantangan baru bagi Adrian. 

Massimo Ferretti, selaku Chairman of Aeffe S.pA. mengungkapkan kegembiraannya menyambut Adrian ke Aeffe family, S.pA.. "With his arrival at Moschino, Adrian brings with him a unique wealth of experience, creativity and knowledge of the history of fashion that will be instrumental to write a wonderful new chapter in the adventure of the brand founded by Franco Moschino. Adrian juga mengungkapkan ketertarikannya yang luar bisa, "The jackets with 3-D postcards, the dress with a skirt made with twenty bras, the countless trompe-l'oeil: as a creative and a collector, the list of creations by Franco Moschino that have entered the history of fashion is almost endless. The essence of his talent, for me, is to inhabit his time – a mission he carried out with enviable lightness, opening a window for all of us to imagine, in our own way, the future. I am deeply grateful to Massimo Ferretti for allowing me to access the world of Moschino, as well as entry into a House whose walls exude a history that I am eager to hear. Adrian akan debut pada Fall/Winter 2024 Women’s collection, yang akan diselenggarakan pada 22 Februari 2024 di tempat bersejarah bagi Moschino, yaitu di the Museo della Permanente saat Milan Fashion Week. Tempat ini bersejarah bagi Moschino karena merupakan tempat exhibition dari “Moschino - X anni di Kaos! 1983-1993” pada tahun 1993 untuk merayakan dekade pertama Moschino, brand yang didirikan oleh Franco Moschino.
